Pasadena continued its upward trend on Tuesday.

After starting 0-5 in Pacific League play, the Bulldogs have won five of their last nine.

PHS got a single run in the top of the seventh inning and Joe Bacon did the rest.

Bacon won his fourth consecutive Pacific League game, as his Bulldogs claimed a 1-0 victory at Muir.

He threw a three-hit shutout and needed just 68 pitches to finish what he started.

Bacon walked one and struck out four Muir batters.

Xavier Guzman, Makhi Clark and Jaime Caldera had one single apiece to account for the Mustangs’ offense.

Makhi Clark probably desered better.

Clark was saddled with the loss, allowing just an unearned run on three hits.

Clark went the distance, walked two and struck out seven PHS batters.

Ben Griffith singled and it was his sac fly in the top of the seventh that scored Casey Skett for what turned out to be the game-winning run.

Justin Goldman and Evan Coad singled for the Bulldogs.

Tuesday’s rivalry game lasted just 96 minutes.

Up next: Muir will travel to PHS today (Wednesday).

The first pitch is set for 3:15.
