Oak Hills Claims a 9-6 Victory Over San Marino in Second Round of CIF-SS D-4 Playoffs; RHL Champs Won 21 Games in 2024

Baseball:

A very successful 2024 season for the San Marino baseball program came to an end on Tuesday.

Oak Hills defeating the visiting Titans, 9-6, in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs.

SMHS led 3-1 in the top of the third inning, but the Bulldogs would outscore them 8-3 the rest of the way.

Austin Allan got the win after going five inning and allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits.

Allan issued three walks and fanned four SMHS batters.

Chase Mena walked, singled and drove in a pair of runs.

JJ Wilson singled, scored and had two RBIs.

Sid Danenhauer and Tomas Bilvado walked, singled and scored one run each.

Jamie Bercaw went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Parker Wilson walked and scored.

Brandon Strauss was charged with the loss after allowing two runs on three hits over 1 1/3 innings.

He walked two and fanned one OHHS batter.

Keith Williams walked, doubled and drove in three runs.

Jacob Webster went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.

Allan helped his own cause, going 2-for-4 with a double, run and one RBI.

Patrick Dufer singled, scored and had one RBI.

Connor Wagner doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.

The Rio Hondo League champions had a winning percentage of 72-percent in 2024.
