Jazmin Jaquez might be a freshman, but she was going to put her imprint in a Pacific League victory over a rival.
Jaquez went the distance to earn the win, and Pasadena picked up a 5-2 victory at Muir.
Jaquez allowed two runs on six hits.
She didn’t issue a walk and struck out 12 Muir batters.
At the plate, Jaquez singled, tripled and scored two runs.
Alyssa Perez singled and drove in two runs.
Maddie Fraer singled and scored twice.
Isabella Armas had a single and an RBI in the win.
Kaylee McKenzie singled twice for PHS.
Up next: Muir will travel to Glendale on Tuesday.
PHS will face Hart and Brea Olinda in tournament play on Saturday.
