With four games to play in the regular season, Bonita still remains in the Palomares League title chase.
The Bearcats would need help to catch first play Ayala, but it’s not completely out of reach.
On Tuesday, BHS cruised to an 8-2 victory at Diamond Bar.
Serenity Reyes went two innings, and she was charged with two runs on three hits.
Reyes didn’t issue a walk, and she registered three strikeouts.
Skyler Lee provided five scoreless innings and scattered three hits.
Lee didn’t give a free pass, and she fanned a pair of Brahmas.
Offensively, Skyy Hicks went 2-for-5 with a double, run and three RBIs.
Koa Puppe walked, doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Mia Guerrero went 1-for-3 with a walk, double, two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Audrey Garza doubled in a run.
Laila Washington walked and scored two runs.
Kiana Crawford, Melany Vaca, Sara Yeats and Mady Arzate had one hit apiece for the Bearcats.
Adrianna Mangini scored once in Tuesday’s win.
