Girls Soccer:
Sometimes you need late-game heroics to remain unbeaten.
And such was the case for the Monrovia girls soccer program.
With three minutes to play, and locked in a 0-0 tie with Arcadia, the Wildcats’ Sofia Chiovare headed in a free kick from Audrey Mendoza.
Monrovia would claim a 1-0 victory over the Apaches, and in the process, they improved to 5-0.
More impressively, though, is that fact that MHS goalie Miya Whoolery and her defense have yet to allow a single goal in 2023.
Whoolery had eight saves against Arcadia.
Up next: The Wildcats travel to Charter Oak on Thursday at 5:15.
