South Hills Defeats San Dimas, 4-2, to Secure Three-Game Hacienda League Sweep; Reyes Allowed Unearned Run Over Six Innings

South Hills accomplished something that no one has done in decades.

The Huskies picked up the three-game Hacienda League season sweep over SGV area power San Dimas.

SHHS claimed 2025 victories of 7-0, 3-1 and 4-2.

On Friday, Elias Reyes went six strong innings, and he was charged with an unearned run on two hits.

Reyes issued three walks and fanned three SDHS batters.

Justin Romero allowed an unearned run on one hit and a pair of walks in the seventh.

Ashton Romero’s RBI single in the top of the first gave San Dimas a 1-0 lead.

Vaughn Coleman drew a bases loaded walk in the seventh.

Aaden Escarcega drew a pair of walks and scored once on Friday.

Jayden Medina singled and scored.

Jayden Claros had one single for the Saints.

James Rocha went 4 2/3 innings, and he was charged with three unearned runs on three hits.

Rocha didn’t issue a walk, and he struck out three SHHS batters.

Joseph Layva provided 1 1/3 scoreless and hitless innings in relief and he struck out one.

Wesley Manning went 1-for-2 and drove in a run on a sac fly.

Gabriel Guerrero walked and scored a pair of runs.

Zack Escalera singled and scored.

Diego Villarreal walked and singled.

Victor Merlos gave SHHS a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth with a sac fly that plated Escalera.

Noah Esquival scored once for the Huskies.
