The Howey’s do big things at Arcadia.
Two years ago, Morgan’s older brother, Preston, went from JV pitcher to the SGV area wins leader.
The pandemic cost him most of his senior season, but Preston still earned his place at St. Mary’s.
And for her part, Morgan has earned a stellar reputation on her own merits.
The Apaches’ second baseman/catcher had a great week, as Arcadia split games with Royal and Temple City.
In Monday’s 16-8 setback to Royal, Howey singled, doubled, scored and drove in a run.
Four days later, the Apaches earned an 8-1 victory at Temple City.
Morgan had a remarkable game and was just a single from hitting for the cycle.
She doubled, tripled, homered, scored once and had three RBIs.
Up next: Arcadia (2-1) will travel to San Marino on Monday
