The Eagles claimed a 12-0, mercy-rule victory in five innings.
Three pitchers combined on a 1-hit shutout and Etiwanda pounded Northview for 13 hits.
In fact, eight separate Eagles had at least one hit, and four had two or more.
Alfredo Capacete got the win after three scoreless innings.
Capacete allowed one hit, walked one and fanned one Vikings’ batter.
Jorge Solares and Landon Milius contributed once scoreless inning of relief apiece for the Eagles.
Luke Bauer’s single accounted for the Northview offense on Saturday.
Andrew Baltazar was stuck with the loss.
Baltazar surrendered eight runs (five earned) and seven hits over his 2 1/3 innings of work.
He walked one and struck out three Etiwanda batters.
Abraham Zapata continued his torrid start to the 2021 season.
Zapata, who hit a two-run blast Friday in the 6-5 victory at San Dimas, went 3-for-4 on Saturday, with three RBIs and he scored once.
Capacete also contributed at the plate, going 2-for-2, with a double, three RBIs and one run.
Geo Mejia singled, doubled and scored and Yahir Ramirez collected two singles, scored twice and had one RBI.
Jack Holman walked, tripled and scored a pair of runs.
Austen Roellig and Armando Briseno, who bat in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the Etiwanda lineup, respectively, had one hit, a run scored and two RBI’s apiece in the win.
