Monrovia overcame a 6-0 deficit, scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning, and they secured an 8-7 Rio Hondo League victory over visiting South Pasadena.

MHS has now won 10 consecutive games, and they lead San Marino by two games in the win column.

The Tigers got six runs in the top of the first inning, and they scored once more in the fourth.

James Quesenbery was charged with six runs on two hits and a pair of walks over 1/3 of an inning.

Maddox Morales went 3 2/3 innings, and he allowed one run on four hits.

Maddox walked two and fanned a pair of SPHS batters.

Ronnie Carmona provided one scoreless inning in relief.

Carmona allowed one hit, walked one, and he struck out two.

Sutton Powers was credited with the win.

Powers set South Pasadena down in order in the top of the seventh inning.

Jonathan Bracamonte walked, hit a solo HR and scored two runs.

Diego Gurfein scored, and had a pair of doubles, including a two-run double in the top of the first inning.

Ralphi Hall went 2-for-4 with one run and an RBI.

Gabe Vogel drew a pair of walks and scored.

Aaron Kawasaki walked and singled.

Ethan Kim scored and was credited with two RBIs.

Leo Castillo singled and Cody Robinson scored one run for the Tigers.

Hanson Chan was charged with six runs (one earned) on four hits over 4 2/3 innings.

Chan walked one and fanned four Monrovia batters.

Gabe Vogel got the loss after allowing two runs (one earned) one two hits over 1 2/3 innings.

Vogel issued one walk and registered one strikeout.

Isaias Hernandez played the role of hero.

Hernandez drove in two on a pair of sac flies and scored.

And in the bottom of the seventh, his two-run double plated the tying and winning runs.

Tristan Oandasan had a huge two-out, three-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning to pull Monrovia to within 7-6 of South Pasadena.

Joshua Griffiths went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and one run.

Sully Zinn walked, singled twice and scored three times.

Troy Grise had a pair of singles, and he scored three runs.
