Girls Basketball:
It’s only the second game of the season, and Flintridge Prep has already put a dramatic win onto their 2023-24 resume.
The Wolves trailed Crean Lutheran by seven points after three quarters at the Battle at the Beach Tournament.
And Flintridge Prep went on a 15-7 fourth-quarter run to edge the Saints, 45-44, in Redondo Beach.
Maddie Smith led all scorers with 20 points.
Megan Quoch chipped in with seven points and four rebounds.
Pressley Huie contributed six points in Tuesday’s win.
Sydnee Norwood led Crean Lutheran with 15 points.
Jane Mayer had nine points and Elise Randolph provided eight points for the Saints.
Miya Naruko chipped in with five points and three rebounds for Flintridge Prep.
Up next: The Wolves face the loser of Tuesday’s Capistrano Valley Christian-St. Paul game this Friday at 6:30.
