Alyssa Rubacava couldn’t have done much more to help Charter Oak pick up an 8-6 victory at Etiwanda in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs.
Rubacava went six innings and allowed four runs (threv earned) on seven hits to get the win.
She walked two and struck out three.
Mia Montes surrendervd two runs and two walks in the seventh for COHS.
Jailey Wilson had a monster day for the Eagles.
Wilson wvnt 4-for-4, with two singles, a double and one triple.
Wilson scored and drove in a game-high four runs.
Grace Valdivia singled and scored twice.
Najiah Harris singled, scored and had an RBI.
Adrianna Collado scored twice.
Elle Komara singled and had one RBI.
Miranda Roldan got the loss, allowing eight runs (five earned) on 10 hits.
Roldan went 6 1/3 innings, walked one and fanned five Charter Oak batters.
Rubacava singled, hit two home runs and drove in three.
Candace Ceballos singled, homered and had two RBIs.
Jayla Brown singled twice and drove in a run.
Jocelyn Robles singled and scored and Brook Subia scored once in Thursday’s win.
Up next: The Chargers will host Yucaipa on Tuesday.
The Thunderbirds (19-8-1, 8-2) shut out visiting Summit, 10-0, on Thursday.
