Softball:
Rio Hondo Prep won its fifth consecutive game on Thursday and the Kares improved to 6-0 in Prep League play after a 9-1 victory at Chadwick.
And Tatiana Foor continued to lead the way in the circle.
The Kares senior went the distance on 83 pitches.
Foor allowed one run on four hits, walked one and fanned eight Chadwick batters.
Karlie Davison hit a solo shot in the bottom of the first inning and then Foor blanked the Dolphins the rest of the way.
Samantha Santa Ana had a rough outing.
Santa Ana surrendered nine runs on nine hits in a complete-game effort.
She walked 14, struck out 16, allowed two home runs and threw 189 pitches.
Madison Metz has really flexed her muscles of late, homering again, walking three times, scoring twice and driving in a pair of runs.
Grace Pollock went 2-for-5, with a home run and three RBIs.
Foor walked twice and had an RBI.
Elle Curtis singled twice, tripled, and scored two runs.
Avery Pollock walked twice and scored.
Raegan Johnson walked three times, scored and had an RBI.
Maddie Glatt walked twice, singled, scored twice and drove in a run.
Raychel Chang singled and walked in Thursday’s win.
