Muir Cruises to a 12-2 Pacific League Victory Over Hoover in Five Innings; Castillo Didn’t Allow an Earned Run & Struck Out Six

Baseball:

Muir made short work of last place Hoover on Tuesday.

The Mustangs cruised to a 12-2 victory over the Tornados in five innings.

Miguel Castillo went all five, and he allowed a pair of unearned runs on three hits.

Castillo issued one walk and registered six strikeouts.

Owen Marks went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.

Kieran Sinta singled and scored to account for the rest of the Hoover offense.

Angel Kaletta didn’t get an out, and he was charged with five runs on two hits and three walks in the bottom of the first inning.

Conrad Hunziker IV went 2-for-4, including a two-run HR, and he finished with three RBIs.

Kahlil Rishwain drew a pair of walks, doubled, scored twice and drove in two runs.

Luca Cano went 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Ezekiel Rodriguez walked, singled twice, scored two runs and drove in one.

Fletcher Paddock drew a pair of walks and scored two runs.

Eduardo Sosa went 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI.

Arturo Ayers singled twice, drew a pair of walks, scored and drove in one run.

Bryant Soriano singled and scored.

Sergio Rodriguez went 1-for-1 with a walk, run and one RBI.

Max Huizar singled in Tuesday’s win.
