Baseball: People may have been unsure as to how to gauge Rancho Cucamonga’s three-game sweep over Upland last week in their first Baseline League series. However, there is no mistaking the value in the Cougars taking the first two games against arguably the deepest team in the league. RCHS secured a 3-2 home win on […]
Baseball: Upland gave Damien a run for their money in Wednesday’s Baseline League showdown in La Verne. With a 2-1 lead, the winless Highlanders (0-4) were four outs away from their first league conquest. The Spartans, however, had other ideas, and they rallied for a pair of runs in the sixth inning to claim a […]
Baseball: You couldn’t blame Don Furnald and his players if they were a little frustrated. The Eagles opened the Baseline League portion of their schedule having lost three of their first four games. EHS would take out that frustration on Chino Hills on Wednesday afternoon. Etiwanda jumped on EHS early, and Michael Aleman did the […]
Baseball: Twenty-six days ago, Joseph Moreno was one out from completing a no-hitter against one of the SGV’s power programs from San Dimas. However, what many coaches believe is a bullsh** 110-pitch rule kept Moreno from getting the 21st out. Justin Romero came in and closed out a combined no-hitter. Fast forward to Wednesday, and […]
Baseball: San Dimas started and finished strong offensively. The Saints scored six times in the top of the first, and they got six more (combined) in the fifth and seventh innings to outlast Alta Loma, 12-7, on Wednesday. It’s SDHS’ second highest scoring output the season. The two Hacienda League programs combined for 19 runs, […]
Baseball: Maranatha may very well win its seventh consecutive Olympic League title in 2025. However, the rest of the pack is going to make the Minutemen fight for this one. On Wednesday, MHS scored once in the bottom of the fourth and seventh innings to edge their visitors from Whittier Christian, 2-1, at Brookside Park. […]
