Football:
Kaden Taylor is easily one of the San Gabriel Valley’s most underappreciated football players.
The Pasadena High quarterback has led the offense to 204 points through the first five games of 2021.
And on Friday, Taylor accounted for 510 total yards and six TD’s.
Taylor completed 14 of his 19 pass attempts for 368 yards and four scores.
But he wasn’t done yet.
Taylor had a team-high 142 yards rushing on 11 carries and scored twice with his feet.
The longest being a 60-yard sprint to the end zone.
The PHS offense totaled 640 yards of total offense.
Micah Hernandez carried the ball 10 times for 82 yards and a TD.
Mekhi Fox (142) and Idrique Carmichael (107) had four catches each for a combined 249 receiving yards.
Both Fox and Carmichael had one TD apiece.
David Guizar led the Bulldogs defense with eight tackles.
Mikel Wallace had two sacks and Jamir Mitchell sacked the Harvard Westlake quarterback once.
Up next: PHS won’t be in action until September 30th.
After its bye week, Pasadena will open Pacific League play at home against Crescenta Valley.
