Football:
If you didn’t think St. Francis was anxious to get back on the field two weeks after a lopsided loss to Damien, just ask the Muir football program.
The Golden Knights dominated throughout and earned a 42-6 road victory.
SFHS led 42-0 at the break and the Mustangs’ lone score came in the fourth quarter.
Jack Jacobs threw for north of 200 yards and that included four TD passes.
The 6-foot-6 St. Francis junior also scored twice with his feet, including a 65-yard TD run.
Max Garrison caught four passes for 80 yards and a TD.
Muir’s lone score of the game was a long TD pass from Makhi Clark to Turran Williams.
Dylan Bell, John Calmette and Preston Jernegan all had receiving TD’s for the Golden Knights.
Up next: St. Francis will host Los Altos and Muir welcomes Cathedral on Friday night.
