Girls Volleyball:
It wasn’t a secret that the Flintridge Sacred Heart volleyball program has been frustrated of late.
After beginning the season with three consecutive wins, the Tologs had dropped three of their last four matches, and that included being swept by La Canada and South Pasadena last week.
Thankfully for all involved, FSHA got back to its winning ways on Tuesday night.
The Tologs swept visiting San Marino by scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-12 in a nonleague contest.
Peyton DeJardin paced the offense with 11 kills.
Nikki Garriola added 10 kills and 14 digs in the win.
Milena Andrade had 21 assists and Emily Smith contributed four aces.
Up next: FSHA will open Sunshine League play on Thursday evening at Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks.
Quotable:
FSHA coach, Trent Tcheng: “We cleaned up some of our execution errors that we had last week. We aren’t there yet, but I was happy with the small improvements that we made. We will need to be just as good if not better on Thursday as we head into league.”
Records: San Marino (6-6); FSHA (5-3)
