Quotable:

Former LOHS coach, Travis Kelly: “Wyatt is one of the most talented players I’ve ever had the opportunity to coach. I’m not shocked or surprised it was him who will finish his career as the Los Osos all-time hit leader. From day one as a freshman, he was different. He worked harder than 99-percent of his peers in perfecting his craft. His parents never made an excuse or blamed anyone if he struggled, they just went to work getting better day in and day out. His two older brothers, who are pitbulls like him, showed him the way and never let him slack. Having two older brothers in college (WOU), you can tell he has used their advice past four years.

As a founding member of the Los Osos program and having so much pride in that, I am extremely happy for this young man as an Alum. I think it will be a long, long time before there is someone that catches him. Not too many are willing to work as hard and hold themselves accountable as Wyatt has. I can’t wait to watch him next year at St Mary’s. Don’t be surprised if one day he gets a shot at pro ball either. I truly believe his work ethic and focus will get him there.”

LOHS senior, Wyatt Mohler: “Winning this series shows we’re all hands on deck. We’ve lost guys and we have a next man up type of mentality. After getting handled by Etiwanda, we wanted to do that to someone else. We needed wins this week, and our pitching staff really dialed in. We just kept grinding and I’m proud of my boys. We’re not going to quit. To me, this record means a lot. I got to come in from day one and I worked hard to get better every day. I also want to thank my coaches and teammates past and present for supporting me over the last four years. It’s meant the world to me.”
