Claremont has secured its spot in Friday’s CIF-SS Division 1 title match after defeating Foothill, 13-5, in Wednesday’s semifinal round.
CHS singles went a combined 7-2 to pave a forward path.
No. 1 singles Brody Bohran went 3-0, including one victory via tiebreaker.
Ronald Chen, who plays No.2 singles, went 1-1 in his two matches.
DJ Brownlee had a big day at No. 3 singles.
He went 3-0, including a second-match tiebreaker (7-1).
Caleb Settles and Joey Anagnos won all three of their matches at No. 1 doubles.
Lance Lucas and Lao Rival also claimed three victories in three tries.
Up next: Claremont will play for a D-1 championship tomorrow (Friday) at Palos Verdes High School.
The Sea Kings defeated Loyola, 10-8, in their semifinal match.
Girls Water Polo: West Covina is one victory away today from having a four-win week.
