Quotable:

Mt. SAC assistant coach, Scott Zine: “It was definitely a step in the right direction for the Mounties today. Our at-bats were very gritty with runners in scoring position, and our guys did a great job of backing the baseball up with two outs to continue to add on. Andrew Alva, Brock Foulds and Froy Serna were all super competitive and gave four quality AB’s apiece. As a whole, we executed our bunts to put ourselves in great position, covered the plate with two strikes and we ran the bases well. Bilvado did a great job on the front end of settling in after the second, and he really did a good job of landing the slider for a strike. Cash Carroll and Seth Sumner were great on the backend to take us home. We had too many mistakes on defense, and we have to do a better job of taking care of the baseball, but I think our pitchers handled the adversity with poise and made some big pitches to minimize the damage. A lot of positives to build off going into a three-game series with Glendale this weekend.”
