Etiwanda Goes 6-1 at Dave Mohs Tournament & Finished in Second Place; Furnald, Hemsley & Brown Earned all-Tournament Honors

Volleyball:

Etiwanda had a solid showing at the two-day Dave Mohs Tournament at Edison High School.

The Lady Eagles won their first six matches before falling to Rancho Christian in the Gold Division final.

EHS claimed victories over Crescenta Valley, Corona del Mar and San Marcos on Friday.

One day later, Etiwanda secured wins over St. Margaret’s, Sage Hill and Crean Lutheran.

Four of their six wins came via a sweep.

Lauren Furnald, Nina Hemsley and Saaliyah Brown earned all-tournament honors.

In the seven matches, Furnald contributed 41 kills, 17 aces and 52 digs.

Hemsley finished with 45 kills, seven aces and 27 digs.

Brown produced 39 kills and 19 blocks.

Other key contributors included Kylie Richardson (38 digs), Mya Yaisrael (19 kills & 19 blocks), Mae Tauaese (75 assists & 12 digs) and Alannis Machuca (36 assists).

Up next: The Lady Eagles travel to Yucaipa on Wednesday evening at 5:30.
