Softball:
Etiwanda pitcher Alyssa Galindo was honored at Angel Stadium on Tuesday night.
Galindo, along with the other CIF-SS Players of the Year, got their moment in the sun before the White Sox-Angels game in Anaheim.
Etiwanda went 31-5 in 2024.
And that included a share of the Baseline League championship with Upland and Chino Hills.
The Eagles went on to secure a CIF-SS Division 3 title after a 3-1 victory over Riverside King on May 18th.
EHS would then claim a CIF State Division 2 championship, thanks to a 5-4 victory over Mater Dei Catholic on June 1st in Chula Vista.
Etiwanda closed out its historic 2024 season having won 13 consecutive games.
Galindo, the CIF-SS D-3 Player of the Year, had a monster junior year.
She batted .515, with 51 hits, 24 runs, 36 RBIs, six doubles, one triple and 12 home runs.
Galindo led EHS in average, hits, RBI’s and home runs.
In the circle, she went 10-2 with a 0.83 ERA.
Galindo issued 19 walks and registered 111 strikeouts in 101 1/3 innings.
