Baseball:
Ayala took an early 10-run lead in Wednesday’s 14-8 victory at Alta Loma.
It’s the Bulldogs eighth consecutive victory and they hold a two-game lead over second-place Claremont and three ahead of third-place Bonita and Glendora.
Thomas Cerecedes went three scoreless innings to get the win.
He allowed one hit, walked one and struck out one Alta Loma batter to collect his fifth win of the season.
Ian Wolski doubled twice and drove in five of the Braves’ eight runs on Wednesday.
Andrew Vasquez was stuck with the loss, allowing seven runs on eight hits in just two innings of work.
Cole Koniarksky singled, doubled, scored and drove in three runs.
Ty Borgogno went 2-for-4, with two RBIs and a run scored.
Jacob Badawi singled, scored twice and had an RBI.
Anthony Dominguez singled, doubled and drove in a run.
Mateo Matthews singled and drove in a pair of runs.
Troy McCain walked, singled twice, doubled and scored two runs.
Ryan Moreno walked, singled, scored twice and had one RBI.
Bryan Yang walked, singled and scored, and Marcus Galvan walked twice and scored both times.
Damien Delgadillo singled, scored twice and drove in a run.
