Glendora jumped on Diamond Ranch for 28 first-quarter points and cruised to a 49-14 victory.
And it all started with a Brady Baeza blocked punt on defense.
Owen Freking picked it up and ran it back 5 yards for a 7-0 GHS lead just 2:18 into the game.
Jake Denerson would score on a 9-yard TD run, and Kyle Ferm’s 2-point conversion made it 15-0 with 5:07 to play in the first period.
Robert Solis took a Denerson pass 57 yards for a touchdown, and just 70 seconds later, Ferm scored on a 1-yard run to give GHS a 28-0 lead.
Denerson found Solis on an 8-yard TD pass nearly four minutes into the second period.
Diamond Ranch got on the board with 4:09 to play in the first half, on a 12-yard TD run, and the Panthers would trail 35-7 at the break.
GHS extended its lead to 42-7 when Eric Najarro tossed an 86-yard TD pass to Solis.
The Tartans would cap their scoring with a 95-yard kickoff return by Gabe Ibarra late in the fourth quarter.
Ferm had four carries for 10 yards, including a TD, and 2-point conversion runs.
He also caught five passes for 88 yards, and recovered a fumble on defense.
The Bulldogs (5-1), who did not have the services of their starting center or quarterback, dropped their first game of 2022 (28-7 to visiting Citrus Valley).
