Northview did something Tuesday afternoon that good teams do.
They dominate programs they’re supposed to.
The Vikings got six scoreless innings on the mound from Kiki Villegas, and defeated Excelsior Charter, 12-0.
Villegas allowed just one hit, walked two and struck out three batters.
Ken Rodriguez went a scoreless seventh inning in relief.
Brandon Steele got the loss after allowing 11 runs (seven earned) on nine hits over his 4 2/3 innings.
He walked seven batters and struck out three.
Andrew Baltazar went 2-for-2, including a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs.
Dean Curley walked, singled, doubled, scored and drove in three runs.
Ethan Galindo and Nick Peoples each singled, scored and had two RBIs apiece.
Diego Frey walked, singled and scored twice.
Ivan Barragan had two singles and scored a pair of runs.
Isaac Nava contributed an RBI double and Moses Medrano doubled and scored.
Eligh Hidalgo walked, singled and scored and Micah Hidalgo walked and scored.
