With five games to play in the regular season, Pasadena controls its own destiny.
On Thursday, the Bulldogs claimed a 16-5, Pacific League victory over Glendale in six innings, which allowed PHS to move into fourth place with Burbank.
Glendale took a 5-0 lead just an inning and a half into the contest.
Jazmin Jaquez would shut the Nitros out the rest of the way, and PHS would go on to score the game’s final 16 runs.
Jaquez got the win, allowing just one earned run on four hits.
She walked three and fanned five GHS batters.
Six of Pasadena’s 14 hits were of the extra-base variety.
Aylssa Perez went 4-for-5, with two triples, four RBIs and scored three runs.
Darla Burnett doubled, scored twice and had an RBI.
Elizabeth Salahuddin singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice.
Maddie Fraer hit a 2-run HR and had an RBI double.
Fraer finished with three RBIs and scored three runs.
Jaquez singled twice, doubled, scored three times and had an RBI.
Kaylee McKenzie doubled, scored and had an RBI.
Violet Chandler singled, drove in one run and scored twice.
Up next: PHS will host Burroughs (5-3 in league) this afternoon (Friday).
The first pitch is set for 3:30.
If Pasadena wins, the Bulldogs would be in a third-place tie with the Bears.
