Baseball:
Bonita secured a rare three-game Palomares League series sweep of Ayala on Thursday.
The Bearcats erased an early five-run deficit and picked up a 10-5 victory over the visiting Bulldogs.
Seth Wrightstone got the win, after five innings of work and allowing five runs on seven hits.
Wrightstone walked three and fanned three Ayala batters.
Tristan Rambaud provided two scoreless and hitless innings of relief to close out the victory.
Rambaud walked one and struck out one.
Marcus Galvan walked twice, singled, scored and drove in two runs.
Ty Borgogno doubled in a run.
Vinny Hudson doubled and scored, and Anthony Dominguez singled and scored.
Andrew Torres and Roman Lopez singled, drove in a run and scored one run each.
Ethan Nunez walked and singled for Ayala.
Bryan Yang started for the Bulldogs and allowed four runs on six hits in his 1 2/3 innings.
Yang walked three and fanned one BHS batter.
Daniel Camou was saddled with the loss after surrendering six runs (four earned) on four hits in one inning.
Cadin Gates provided 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief for the Bulldogs.
He walked one and fanned one BHS batter.
Adrian Lopez singled twice, homered, scored two runs and drove in a pair.
Luke Mistone singled twice, scored and had two RBIs.
Daniel Munoz walked, singled twice, scored and had one RBI.
Garrett Patterson had two singles, scored and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Diego Vazquez singled, scored and drove in a run.
JT Fenton and Bryan Bradshaw walked, scored and had one RBI apiece.
Tyler Holley doubled and scored, and Wrightstone walked twice and scored.
Up next: Bonita and Ayala will be in action on Saturday.
