Just four games into their 2022 Prep League schedule, and Flintridge Prep already has a two-game lead over the entire league.
And the Wolves just picked up win No. 2 over their rivals from Poly.
Flintridge Prep claimed a 12-7 victory on Tuesday.
Josh Beserra didn’t have a great outing, but thanks to his offense, it was good enough to get the win.
Beserra surrendered seven runs (six earned) on five hits over 3 2/3 innings.
He walked two and struck out three.
Max Brunngraber provided 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
He allowed just a hit, didn’t walk anyone and fanned three.
Jason Mayo doubled, tripled, drove in three runs and scored twice.
Adam Arther got the start and allowed six runs (four earned) on five hits.
He walked two and struck out a pair of Wolves’ batters.
JR Kully walked, singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in two.
Dominick Schraeder singled, scored and had an RBI.
Nick Gonzalez had an RBI base hit and Spencer Seid singled, drove in one and scored a run.
Beserra helped his own cause, with a single, run and RBI.
Graham DesHotel walked twice, singled, had an RBI and scored three runs.
Diego Ynzunza went 2-for-4, with an RBI and run scored.
Nathan Park walked, scored and had two RBIs.
Up next: The Wolves will travel to Poly on Friday.
