Baseball:
Monrovia dropped three consecutive games to San Marino in 2026.
The first was a tournament game, and the last two were Rio Hondo League contests.
On Friday, the Wildcats watched a 6-1 lead disappear.
However, MHS would score once in the bottom of the eighth to secure a 7-6 victory over the Titans.
With two RHL games to play with La Canada next week, the Wildcats trail the Spartans by one game.
Monrovia out-hit San Marino, 11-7, including a 3-1 advantage in extra-base hits.
Sutton Powers went 3 2/3 innings, and he was charged with five runs (one earned) on six hits.
Powers walked four and struck out a pair of SMHS batters.
Padraic Brusseau allowed one run on two hit batters and a pair of walks over 2 1/3 innings.
Brusseau registered a pair of strikeouts.
Wyatt Barrier was credited with the win after going two scoreless innings, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out one San Marino batter.
William Stenvick went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and scored a pair of runs.
Chace Lee drew a pair of walks and scored.
Aldo Cali walked twice and singled.
Parker Wilson went 2-for-4, was hit by pitch, scored and drove in one run.
Chase Mena singled in a pair of runs.
Miles Morning walked, singled and had an RBI ground out.
Charlie Danenhauer was hit by pitch and scored.
JT Lu-Morris walked, was hit by pitch and scored.
Alex Lumino singled.
JT Lu-Morris went three innings, and he went six runs (five earned) on six hits and a pair of hit batters.
He walked one and fanned a pair of Monrovia batters.
Ryan Smith provided two scoreless innings and scattered a pair of hits.
Smith issued two walks and registered a pair of strikeouts.
Alex Lumino surrendered one run on three hits and a pair of walks over 1 1/3 innings.
Lumino walked two and struck out a pair of MHS batters.
Troy Grise drew three walks, singled twice and scored.
Evan Huelster went 3-for-5 with one run and a pair of RBIs.
Braydon Blackmore singled, homered and drove in two runs.
