Quotable:

First-year Chaffey coach, Grant Mayeaux: “I want to start by recognizing our assistant coaches. I’m truly blessed to be around such a great group of human beings. They took a chance on this program and poured everything they had into our players and vision. They take tremendous pride in what we’re building, are extremely knowledgeable, and I’ve learned a great deal from each of them.

I’m also incredibly grateful to our players for taking a chance on this program during a time of uncertainty. I stepped into this role at the end of December with so many unknowns, and within two weeks this group was ready to compete. It was a privilege to lead them. These young men showed up every day committed to improving with a mindset that never quit. While the win-loss record wasn’t what we aimed for, their effort and resilience defined our season.

As we move forward, we’re focused on rebuilding the culture and believe we’ll be back stronger, more talented, and ready to compete next year. The goal is and always will be to win a conference championship and compete for a state championship.”
