Up next: The Owls travel to Palomar on Saturday, and the Mounties visit ELAC on Tuesday.

Quotable:

Citrus coach, Andrew Smith: “I don’t care what their record shows, that’s a good ballclub over there. Things really fell our way on Tuesday, and it was looking good early today, but credit to their offense for battling back against some good pitchers we threw today. Connor and Beau experienced some adversity that will be good for their growth down the road. I’m extremely proud of how our guys played, but even more proud of who they are and how they carry themselves. Today’s win was a result of toughness, discipline and togetherness. Incredible job by Ryan Harrison coming in and throwing up zeros against a lineup that we couldn’t contain all day. Our hitters took a ton of tough ABs this week as well. Overall, it was a great couple of wins, but that’s all they are is a couple of wins. We need to continue getting better and we have another tough opponent Saturday on the road before we get back into conference next week.”
