Monrovia won its third game in four tries to start the 2026 season.
The Wildcats cruised to a 12-0 victory in six innings over their visitors from Pasadena.
James Quesenbery tossed a one-hit shutout on Thursday.
Quesenbery issued one walk and registered seven strikeouts.
Reese Kim doubled to account for the Pasadena offense.
Jayden Mendoza was roughed up for seven runs on three hits and five walks over three innings of work.
Mendoza struck out one MHS batter.
Troy Grise drew a pair of walks, doubled, scored and drove in one run on a sac fly.
Lucas Martinez went 2-for-4, and he was hit by pitch, scored and drove in one.
Kaleb Ellison drew a pair of walks, singled, scored twice and he totaled two RBIs.
Sutton Powers walked, singled and score three times.
Braydon Blackmore walked, singled and drove in a run.
Greyson Lorenzini walked and scored.
Micah Clauson went 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs.
Evan Huelster walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.
