Garzon made 10-of-11 on his 2-point attempts.
GHS senior Max Hilgenfeldt made program history.
Hilgenfeldt surpassed the 1,000-point plateau with 17 points on Monday.
He also provided four rebounds and five assists.

Up next: The Tartans will battle Colony on Tuesday night at 6:30 at the Damien Event Center.

Quotable:
Glendora coach, Gordon Hamlow: “Max has done a tremendous job of developing over his four years with us. He really takes it to the hole well coupled with a sweet outside shot. On the defensive side of the floor, he’s tough, and this year, he’s really done a great job of slipping into that leadership role and guiding the team. We’ve begun to develop a strong offensive and defensive identity. I think it’ll bode well for us as we move into January.”
Glendora senior, Max Hilgenfeldt: “It feels great to reach the 1,000-point club, but it has not been a major focus of mine. As one of the only returning varsity players, I feel a responsibility to be a mentor for our younger team. I’m trying to ensure we execute our plays, and that we get everyone involved. As a young team, I feel like we keep improving every day. We had a rough start to our league, but I am confident we can turn things around for the rest of the season. Improving our communication will be a key factor in our success.”
