Thanks to Maranatha tennis for this report:
Heading into today’s match (the third in four days), the Lady Minutemen were a little banged up with injuries and illnesses, requiring the rest of the team to step up.
Step up they did, playing mature, efficient tennis.
When No. 2 singles, Sarah Fong, clinched her set, 7-5, it gave Maranatha a 6-0 lead after the first round, allowing them the cushion to rest No. 1 Grace Yang in the next two rounds.
Yang won her lone set of the day, 6-0.
The Lady Minutemen went 5-1 in each of the next two rounds, giving them the 16-2 victory.
