Volleyball:
A couple days after placing second at the Burbank Tournament, the San Dimas volleyball program was back at it on Monday.
The Saints swept their hosts from Diamond Bar.
SDHS claimed victory by scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-23.
Jayden Hanson led the way with 12 kills, eight digs and seven assists.
Natalie Starkey and Lean Robledo held Diamond Bar at bay with 14 and 11 digs, respectively.
Bella Dimalanta recorded four aces on the night along with nine assists.
She got the opportunity because of an injury to starting setter, Kallissa Disney.
Up next: The Saints travel to Claremont on Wednesday at 5.
Quotable:
San Dimas coach, Joe Hanson: “I was nervous coming into the game, because Diamond Bar is a solid program, and we had a very long weekend, in which we were forced to three sets in each of the eight matches on Friday and Saturday. We also suffered a couple of injuries. I’m very proud of our girls for going on the road after a tough weekend and securing the win. We have two more tough road games this week against Claremont and Arcadia.
Records: San Dimas (6-2); Diamond Bar (5-2)
