Girls Basketball:
Glendora opener their own tournament on Thursday with a 41-point loss to the No. 12 ranked program in the nation (Sierra Canyon).
Fast forward one day, and the Tartans defeated Bell Gardens, 59-25, on Friday.
GHS also saw one of its athletes make school history.
Brianna Gomez hit four 3-pointers, and she finished with a game-high 22 points.
Gomez became the eighth member of the school’s 1,000-point club.
Seven of the eight played under current coach, Adam Nunemaker.
Reagan Herrmann chipped in with 12 points, nine rebounds, eight steals, five assists and four blocked shots.
Kamryn Kuo contributed nine points.
Milana Luera had a game-high 11 rebounds to go with four points.
Eliza Villalobos scored 13 of Bell Gardens’ 25 points.
Up next: GHS will face off with Bishop Amat (7-7) on Saturday afternoon at 12:30.
