More importantly, the Chargers improved to 4-0 in Valle Vista League games after a 13-2 beatdown of their hosts from Wilson.
COHS out-hit WHS, 11-5, including a 4-0 edge in extra-base hits.
Christian Lopez went five innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits to earn the win.
Lopez walked one and fanned three.
Steven Haywood and Daniel Barnhouse provided one scoreless inning in relief apiece, and they combined for three strikeouts.
Karl Cruz walked, singled and scored.
Jesus Castorena went 2-for-3 with an RBI
Jacob Garcia had one hit and one RBI.
