Softball:

Bonita won its eighth consecutive game on Friday.

The Bearcats cruised to a 5-0 Palomares League victory at Claremont.

Kaitlyn Maaske tossed a five-hit shutout.

Maaske issued one walk and struck out seven CHS batters.

Of Maaske’s 106 pitches, 72 went for strikes.

Camilla Walsh doubled, while Erabella Arzola, Sara Cornell, Alina Ninan, and Kamille Taylor singled one time each for the Wolfpack.

Kacie Gossett went the distance, and she surrendered five runs (two earned) on nine hits.

Gossett walked two and fanned eight BHS batters.

Koa Puppe walked, singled, doubled and scored.

Lea Reynolds singled and scored.

Camryn Van Valkenburgh was hit by pitch, singled and doubled.

Serenity Reyes walked and scored.

Avery Rubalcava went 2-for-3, with one RBI.

Ryan Torres had an RBI single.

Melany Vaca singled and Skyler Lee scored one run.
