Trailing 4-3 in Wednesday’s Palomares League showdown with Colony, the Bonita softball program scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to claim an 8-4 victory.
It’s the Bearcats fifth consecutive win, and they improved to 5-1 in league games.
Aaliyah Garcia got the loss after allowing eight runs (three earned) on 12 hits over six innings.
Garcia issued two walks and fanned one BHS batter.
Koa Puppe walked, scored two runs, had an RBI single and a solo HR.
Sara Yeats went 2-for-4, with a triple and one RBI.
Avery Bowers singled and scored.
Serenity Reyes singled twice and drove in a run.
Camryn Van Valkenburgh went 2-for-4, with an RBI.
