South Hills Claims 7-4 & 11-0 Victories Over St. Paul & Warren, Respectively, in Saturday’s La Mirada Tournament

Softball:

South Hills won a pair of La Mirada Tournament games on Saturday.

The Huskies claimed a 7-4 victory over St. Paul in the first game, and they’d earn an 11-0 mercy-rule triumph of Warren.

Game One Notes:

Parker Milton went four innings and allowed three runs on one hit.

Milton walked one and fanned four SPHS batters.

Abigail Quintero provided two innings in relief, and she surrendered an unearned run on three hits.

Quintero issued one walk and struck out two.

Abbey Duarte went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a pair of RBIs.

South Hills got to Gabby Gomez for six runs on eight hits over 3 1/3 innings.

Sophia Sanchez went 3-for-4 with a double, HR, two runs and three RBIs.

Joie Economides singled twice, doubled, and drove in one run.

Mikayla Sta Ana walked, singled and scored.

Jaselle Mendoza and Faith Hernandez doubled, scored and drove in one run apiece.

Alexis Lemus went 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Game Two Notes:

Parker Milton went three scoreless and hitless innings.

Milton issued two walks and struck out five Warren batters.

Hailey Marez allowed two hits over one scoreless inning.

Kayla Sigala walked, homered, scored two runs and drove in three.

Faith Hernandez singled and scored two runs.

Christina Lopez had two singles and a pair of RBIs.

Jaselle Mendoza singled and drove in a run.

Abigail Quintero went 2-for-3, with two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Sophia Sanchez singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice.

Joie Economides walked, singled and scored two runs.

Up next: The Huskies travel to Wilson on Tuesday at 3:30.
