Boys Basketball:

At some point, the Glendora basketball program will probably look back and asks themselves, ‘what if we didn’t lose at Bonita?’

For those who don’t know, the Tartans were riding an 11-game win streak into the regular-season finale at Bonita.

GHS had a double-digit lead with less than three minutes to play, and they were on the verge of securing an outright Palomares League championship.

The Bearcats rallied to send the game to overtime, and BHS claimed a six-point win.

That also meant that Bonita earned the title of league champion, and it almost certainly cost the Tartans a first-round home game.

And it did.

Glendora traveled to Lake Elsinore, and fell, 61-54, to Temescal Canyon, in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 2A playoffs.

TCHS took a 33-20 lead into the break, before being outscored 34-28 in the second half by GHS.

Avant Gilmore had a game-high 19 points for Temescal Canyon, and Braylon Hollins contributed 17 points in the win.

As he did almost all year, Colton Gray led the Tartans with 18 points.

Elijah Regan chipped in with 12 points, and Max Hilgenfeldt had 10.

Chris Lee scored nine points in his final game as a Tartan.

This GHS senior class went 83-33, including a CIF-SS Division 3A championship during the 2020-21 season.
