Boys Soccer:
Maranatha took over sole possession of second place in the Olympic League thanks to Friday’s 4-2 victory at Valley Christian.
Trailing 1-0 in the first half, Caleb Freeman scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at 1-1.
George Peterson scored twice in the second half to help MHS pull away.
Kibru Pam assisted in one of Peterson’s two goals.
Luca Youssefian would add a second-half goal to give the Minutemen a little cushion.
Lorenzo Rodriguez had three saves in goal.
Up next: The Minutemen will host Village Christian on Tuesday at 5:30.
