Boys Soccer:
Maranatha didn’t just open Olympic League play with a win.
The Minutemen decimated their host from Village Christian, 7-0.
MHS led 5-0 at the half and improved to 6-5-2.
Miles Romero scored two goals in the first half and another in the second to earn the hat trick.
George Peterson scored one goal in both halves.
Sawyer Throop got the Minutemen on the board when his long throw-in went off a Village Christian defender and into the net.
Luca Youssefian had an unassisted goal in the first half.
Nico Lareau had four saves in goal for MHS.
Up next: MHS will host Valley Christian on Friday at 5:30.
