Boys Basketball:
Damien got out early and cruised to a 78-44 victory over Arlington in Tuesday’s Rumble for Rosecrans tournament game.
The Spartans led 42-18 at the break, and never got challenged.
Xavier Clinton hit four 3-pointers, and he finished with 22 points.
Fifteen of Eli Garner’s 21 points came from behind the 3-point line.
Lincoln Liggins led Arlington and all scorers with 24 points, including a pair of 3’s.
Lucas Arrieta contributed 11 points, and Elijah Smith had eight.
Up next: The Spartans face Villa Park tonight (Wednesday) at 8.
The Spartans (2-0) have victories over Wilson and Glendora.
