San Marino Earns Rio Hondo League Championship After Rallying for a 3-2 Victory Over La Canada

And your 2024 Rio Hondo League champions are….the San Marino Titans.

Trailing 2-0, SMHS scored single runs in the bottom of the fourth, sixth and seventh innings to edge La Canada, 3-2, on Thursday.

Tomas Bilvado went 4 1/3 scoreless innings and he allowed just one hit.

Bilvado issued a pair of walks, and he registered nine strikeouts.

Lucas Lee walked, doubled and hit a solo HR for LCHS.

Joe Bell drew a pair of walks, including a third-inning base-on-balls with the bases loaded.

Leon Chen walked twice and scored.

Chen was saddled with the loss after allowing one run on three hits and a walk over 1/3 of an inning.

Chase Mena walked, singled and scored.

Mikey Yessaian’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh clinched the RHL championship.

JJ Wilson walked and his RBI single in the third got the Titans on the board.

Carson Herren and Sid Danenhauer walked and had one single apiece.

Ryan Park walked and scored.

Liam Van Fossan went 2-for-2.

Coleman Morning singled in Thursday’s win.

Pinch-runner Jamie Bercaw scored for SMHS.
