Ayala scored two runs in the bottom of the second and three more in the third to pull away from St. Anthony.
The Bulldogs opened CIF-SS Division 2 play with a 6-2 victory over the Saints.
Karson Zavala went four innings and allowed one run on two hits.
Zavala didn’t issue a walk and registered five strikeouts.
Allie Lukaszewicsz surrendered an unearned run on one hit over her three innings.
She walked one and fanned five St. Anthony batters.
Offensively, Taelor Walker led the way.
Walker drew a base on balls, singled, doubled and scored three runs.
Lilanna Acosta went 2-for-2 with a run and one RBI.
McKenzy Beccera singled and scored.
Gianna Gonzalez had a single and one RBI.
Taylor Black drove in a run on a sac fly.
Jordyn Balingit tripled in Thursday’s win.
