Trailing 2-0 in the top of the fifth inning at La Quinta in the CIF-SS Division 3 opener, Etiwanda rallied for a 3-2 victory.
The Eagles got two in the fifth inning and one in the seventh.
Miranda Roldan went the distance.
Roldan allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits.
She walked one and struck out four La Quinta batters.
Alyssa Sanchez singled, doubled and scored.
Andrea Rivera had a single and one RBI.
Leilany Landeros walked, doubled and had one RBI.
Mia Seniz singled and scored.
La Quinta’s Victoria Talamantes surrendered three runs on nine hits over seven innings.
Jailey Wilson singled, hit a solo HR and scored a pair of runs.
Tristen Wren singled and scored.
Abby Mitchell singled and doubled.
Elle Komara doubled and drove in a pair of runs.
Taylor Wren doubled, and Alyssa Galindo and Brianna Gutierrez had one single apiece in Thursday’s win.
