Glendora is still in the running to get the Palomares League’s No. 2 seed.

The Tartans trail Bonita by two games, but there are a number of make-up games to be played over the next week-plus.

On Thursday, GHS cruised to a 6-1 victory over Colony.

Bridget Nemeth got the win.

Nemeth went five scoreless and hitless innings.

She walked one and struck out four.

Gianna Messick struck out two of the three batters she faced.

And Marina Hansen surrendered one run on three hits in the seventh.

Hansen didn’t issue a walk and struck out one Colony batter.

Jade Whitman singled and scored.

Aaliyah Garcia had an RBI single.

And Miayla Genkuong-Baez’s single accounted for the third Titans hit.

Garcia got the loss, allowing five runs on eight hits over five innings.

She issued four walks and struck out three GHS batters.

Makenna Coleman walked, doubled, tripled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.

Kaylie Winovitch walked twice, singled, scored twice and had one RBI.

Ryan Speh had an RBI double.

Allison Salgado went 2-for-4 with a double, run and one RBI.

Nemeth walked and singled.

Natalie Garcia singled in a run.

MacKenzie Mackie singled and scored.

Up next: Glendora faces Claremont on Saturday.
