Softball:
The Ayala victory tour continued on Tuesday at Glendora High School.
Karson Zavala tossed a two-hit shutout and the Bulldogs defeated the Tartans, 3-0, to remain unbeaten in 2023.
She issued three walks and struck out five.
Allison Waite and Kaylie Winovitch had one single each to account for the GHS offense.
Bridget Nemeth was saddled with the loss.
She went the distance, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits.
Nemeth walked three and fanned a pair of Ayala batters.
Taylor Black had an RBI double in the fifth inning to give AHS a 1-0 lead.
McKenzy Becerra hit a solo home run in the sixth.
Taelor Walker singled and scored.
Gianna Gonzalez went 2-for-3 in the win.
Up next: GHS travels to Ayala on Wednesday at 3:30.
