Baseball:
San Dimas improved to 5-0 in Valle Vista League play after Tuesday’s 10-5 victory over West Covina.
SDHS took a 10-1 lead into seventh, and the Bulldogs scored four runs to make the score look closer than it was.
San Dimas got six runs on four hits off Frank Hernandez in one inning.
Hernandez walked two and fanned one batter.
Max Murillo went 3 1/3 innings and surrendered four runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks.
Jude Favela walked, singled and hit a solo shot.
Ryan Castro went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI.
Kody King walked, singled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Vaughn Coleman singled and had two RBIs.
Ryder Young walked twice and had an RBI.
Kasen Khansarinia singled, had an RBI and scored.
Rocco Regan singled and scored.
John Nauertz walked, singled and scored.
Landon White scored twice.
Khansarinia earned the win, going five innings and allowing one run on six hits.
He didn’t walk a batter and struck out seven.
West Covina actually out-hit San Dimas, 11-9, and that includes a 5-1 advantage in extra-base hits.
Jacob Nguyen doubled twice, scored a pair of runs and had two RBIs.
Michael Reyes singled, doubled and drove in a run.
Edwin Segovia doubled and scored.
Garrett Mori doubled, scored and had an RBI.
Marcus Mayweather went 2-for-3 and scored once.
Tony Macon singled twice for WCHS.
